HumeRidge Church of Christ?is one of the churches using LICC‘s Fruitfulness on the Frontline material in February-March 2015. ?
Because HumeRidge??had not done the Life on the Frontline series previously, Associate Pastor Neale Prolloecks invited me to come and do some introductory teaching that would provide a background to the series that they could build on in the next 8 weeks.
You can watch a video of the morning service message here, or listen here.
Check out the fantastic frontline templates (made out of white corflute) that helped set the scene!
If you would like a copy of the sermon and a PDF of the PowerPoint slides, please drop me a line at info@malyonworkplace.org.au

Listen to an excellent sermon from Tim Keller here. ?The blurb on the website summarises the sermon as follows:
Many people think that if you believe in a literal second coming of Christ, then you won?t care about improving this world at all. Yet, the Bible teaches the exact opposite. It is because Christians believe in a coming age without sin and injustice that they eagerly work in this world to bring about glimpses of the world to come. This belief influences everything a Christian does?including their work. Christians must not segregate their faith from their work, but must wrestle with the challenge of glorifying God in their vocations.
Sermon from Graham Hooper at Chuwar Baptist Church
“How do we minister and apply contextual application of the gospel into our own back yard when it comes to serving our community by sharing and showing the love of Christ. Most of our hours are not spent doing church activities, so how should we regard our secular employment? Graham has some practical advice on how we should view our hours spent within the workplace and community.”
In this address?(50:17), Greg Gilbert, co-author of The Gospel at Work explores the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
He takes the view that the talents referred to in the parable are the opportunities and responsibilities rather than some special capacity that we might have. ?The opportunities and responsibilities are not restricted to what we do when the church is gathered but what we do when the church is scattered.
“While you wait for Jesus, work! ?And do that with energy and faithfulness and love for you King” (12:30) [Read more…] about The Parable of the Talents – Greg Gilbert from The Gospel at Work
Each quarter, the people at The High Calling publish sermon notes.
In the first quarter, 2013, they published sermon notes from Tom Nelson, author of Work Matters – Connecting Sunday Worship to Monday Work.?
The three sermon titles that can be accessed here are:
You can watch Tom Nelson being interviewed about his book here. ?This video is highly recommended for pastors and church leaders.
Here’s a very good free resource from the Capitol Hill Baptist Church (Mark Dever/9Marks).
This material appears to have been developed for a 6 week adult ‘Sunday School’ class in the American context. ?For each session, there is a manuscript/sermon (~4000 words) + a handout where participants can take notes on the session.
